Student Screencasts!

Samyukda's screencast of her favorite films offers many of my personal favorites! Her narration is convincing and very well thought-out, and the images work exceptionally well. Check it out! While you're at it, have a look at her blog.

The latest from Siana Haria: A demonstration of "Blackout Poetry,"  a wonderful way for students to look closely at their favorite books and create original poems by selecting text. Siana's narration is clear, and the poems she comes up with are quite wonderful!

Riyan Maru put together a nice screencast about Mo Salah, the Egyptian superman of the Premier League.

Baastian reviewed a few high-value, low(ish)-priced smartphones. Check it out!

Twitter Feeds

The second step for the class was to identify key interests and start a twitter feed focused on those interests.

Here's what they're doing so far:

@Radiohaed42  is creating beautiful collages of color-filtered photos from the band Radiohead.

@riyan_maru has started tweeting out articles about sports.

@snh176 -- a fan of Jodi Picoult has seen the different ways authors use Twitter to get their words out.

Playlists!

I called it "Fifteen Performances that have inspired me," because that's what it is. Hope you check it out!
